Sandcastle Magic - handcrafted glass bead jewelry created by glass artist and jewelry designer Isabel Wilson.

Isabel forms each individual bead using an ancient process called lampworking - the art of creating glass beads using a torch fueled by propane and oxygen. A lampwork bead is created by melting the tip of long glass rods in the flame of the torch. The molten glass is wound upon a steel mandrel, and after creating a core bead, decorations such as stripes, dots, silver or gold leaf, enamel powders and pulverized bits of glass are layered on to produce a miniature work of art. When finished, every beautiful handmade glass bead is tempered in a kiln to ensure durability, and guarantee your jewelry will be beautiful for years to come.

Because Isabel crafts each bead by hand, the result is a spectacularly unique piece of jewelry. The vibrant colors, captivating designs and wide range of styles offer a special quality that complements any casual or formal look.
